Study Details

Study Purpose

The objective of this study is to assess the acute cutaneous tolerance of a range of personal care products, condoms, and laundry sanitizers on adults with sensitive and normal skin.

Total 4 visits
Screening and; Product Application 48 hour exposure period, and two assessments Phases

GROUP 1 - SENSITIVE SKIN

Visit 1: November 10th (Approx. 2 hours)
Informed Consent, Demographics, Medical history Check, Inclusion /Exclusion Questions, test site evaluation / feasibility, product application. (48 hour exposure period)

Visits 2: November 12th (Approx 1.75 hour)
Product removal, 1 hour post removal visual assessments

Visits 3: November 13th (Approx 2.5 hours)
24 hour post removal visual assessment, Phase II test site feasibility and product application, removal, 1 hour post removal assessments

Visits 4: November 14th (Approx 30 mins)
24 hour post Phase II post removal visual assessments

Total Approximate Hours: 7.5

GROUP 2 - NORMAL SKIN

Visit 1: November 17th (Approx. 2 hours)
Informed Consent, Demographics, Medical history Check, Inclusion /Exclusion Questions, test site evaluation / feasibility, product application. (24 hour exposure period for 2 products and 24 hour control patches , 48 hours for rest of products and 48 hour control patches )

Visits 2: November 18th (Approx 1.5 hour)
Product removal, 30 minutes post removal visual assessments (for 2 products and 24 hour controls)

Visits 3: November 19th (Approx 1.75 hours)
24 hour post removal visual assessment (for 2 products and 24 hour controls), 1 hour post removal visual assessment (for all other products and controls)

Visits 4: November 20th (Approx 30 mins)
24 hour post removal visual assessments (for all other products and controls)

Other Notes

Bring valid ID

Cannot apply any other products on the test site areas until after the study is completed

Must avoid rubbing the test site areas

Cannot take long soaks in baths, showers only (facing away)

Cannot use saunas or steam rooms while on the study

Cannot go swimming while on the study

Must avoid exercise which may lead to heavy perspiration
